3000 Advanced Meters with Communication
Class 3000 advanced meters provide customers with
a low-cost, intelligent kWh/Demand meter displaying
kWh, kW with peak date and time, real-time kW, amps
per phase and volts per phase. E-Mon's patented
0-2 volt output split-core current sensors allow
for quick and safe installation without power interruption.
These sensors also allow for meters to be remotely
located up to 500 feet from the electrical panel
they are monitoring.
Class 3000 meters advanced features include interface
with other types of utility meters including water,
gas and steam, single-point energy data storage
and interface with E-Mon Energy™ software.
Class 3000 meters are available with a variety
of communication options including built-in telephone
modem, Ethernet and ModBus.
The newest addition to the Class 3000 family of
products is the Load Control option.The load control
option is designed to operate at user selectable
high and low set points providing users with the
capability to reduce electrical (kilowatt) demand.
The Class 3000 meter with load control can be used
to shave expensive electrical demand peaks by shedding
loads or activating a local generator. The low kW
limit point will allow the load to be returned to
normal operating power independently as preset parameters
are met.
